I appreciate how hard it can be to take that first step to begin counselling and I will be committed to walking alongside you in your journey of healing and self-discovery. I feel there is nothing more powerful than the unconditional warmth and presence of one human to another.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor. This means I am trained to use a variety of techniques and approaches (Humanistic, CBT, Psychodynamic) to suit your individual needs. I believe that everyone is unique and what approach suits is very individual to you and your personal circumstances and characteristics. Therefore, I will work in collaboration with you, putting your needs and goals at the heart of therapy.
Sometimes, we just need a little space and help to understand what is going on for us and I will provide you with a comfortable, caring, reflective space, where together we can do this.
I try to be as flexible as possible around the practical arrangements for therapy, providing a range of options; online, telephone, face to face, walk and talk. I endeavour to fit around what suits you for a regular appointment, as well as I can around my own constraints. I am also flexible around the number of sessions provided and can offer short- and long-term therapy. What is important is to do what is best for you personally.
I am a registered member of the BACP, which means my practice meets the recognised standards of competent, safe, and ethical practice.
