My name is Melissa, and I am a warm, empathic integrative counsellor, deeply committed to supporting clients in overcoming challenges and improving their wellbeing.
I offer individual therapeutic counselling services and group wellbeing workshops and programmes.
Drawing from various approaches like person-centred counselling, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness, I adapt to each client’s unique needs. My compassionate and personalised approach ensures you feel heard, valued, and supported in a safe, non-judgemental space.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP and accredited member of the NCPS, which means my practice meets the recognised standards of competent, safe, and ethical practice.

This also might involve supporting you to make connections from current difficulties to past experiences. Helping you understand yourself and your difficulties at a deeper level, which can lead to personal growth and healing.
You might want supported to manage how you are feeling and use the sessions to alleviate painful and distressing symptoms experienced from trauma, anxiety, stress or depression. I have a wide range of experience providing individually tailored strategies and techniques to help you work through your difficulties.
I understand thinking about coming to counselling can be daunting and I want you to know I will make every effort to make you feel as comfortable as possible by providing a warm, compassionate, safe confidential space belonging to you, where you can go at your own pace, sharing what feels right and comfortable for you. My wellbeing workshops and programmes are designed to support individuals and groups in enhancing their mental and emotional health.
I offer pre-designed sessions on various wellbeing topics, as well as customised programmes tailored to your needs. I am a qualified counsellor with extensive experience in mental health and wellbeing, and I also have a background in Human Resources.
I provide a supportive space where participants can explore various aspects of their wellbeing and learn practical strategies and tools for improving their overall quality of life.
You can choose to attend online or in person. I also offer on-site sessions and can come to your organisation to deliver group workshops and programmes.

I offer in person counselling sessions in Ballymena, Co Antrim and online throughout the UK and Ireland.
I provide one-to-one sessions lasting 50–60 minutes, available face-to-face, online, or by telephone.
My availability is Monday to Friday, with early morning, daytime hours and evening availability. I can also be flexible in arranging times that suit your schedule week to week.
My fees are £55 for face-to-face sessions and £50 for online or telephone sessions.
I have limited availability for concessions.
I offer a free initial telephone consultation. Once you get in touch, I will respond, generally, within 24 hours to arrange a mutually convenient time for us to discuss how I can help you.

The first session we will get to know each other better, begin to develop a deeper understanding of the difficulties you are facing, and talk through what you would like to get from our sessions.
It is also a chance for me to talk to you about the counselling process, fill you in on all the practicalities, and go through a working agreement, so we are both clear on what to expect.
The duration of the counselling process is not fixed and may vary from person to person, depending on the complexity of the issues being addressed.
You have the autonomy to determine the length of your therapy, and my objective is to ensure that therapy continues only as long as it provides benefit to you.
Your counselling experience will be tailored specifically to you, meaning the number of sessions you attend will be unique to your needs.

I will work in collaboration with you, putting your needs and goals at the heart of therapy. This your space where it is all about you and belongs to you.
Counselling sessions are private, unlike chats with friends and family. The confidentiality of our weekly sessions creates a safe space for you to openly and freely express your thoughts and feelings.
Note that there may be some situations where known or suspected serious risk of harm to you or someone else has been identified, and where the law requires that I notify an authority; in these cases, I may not be able to keep total confidentiality. Breaking confidentiality is very rare though and I’ll always strive to talk to you about it first.
